As a Solution Development Manager (SDM) you will be responsible for driving all aspects of strategy, deal pipeline, and revenue attainment for strategic solution providers creating, driving and delivering SDN and NFV. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, this role owns growing the overall business in conjunction with Intel account executives, the online sales center, partner marketing and fellow travelers. The SDM is the face of Intel at our partner accounts so leadership, organization, relationship building and influence selling are critical skills. Teamwork and collaboration are a must, as it is expected that this role will work closely with other members of the sales teams, our business units, verticals, executives, and our fellow travelers to focus all available resources to achieve Intel objectives.

This is a commissioned sales position.


The North America NFV Solution Provider Hunter is responsible for identifying net new high impact NFV solution providers that could be routes to market for Intel in the advocating of our data center networking Platform. The role requires that we establish these relationships at accounts or organizations that we have not worked with in the past. It is expected that this role will work closely with other members of the sales teams, our DCG and SSG BUs, and Executives across the eco-system.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Define go to market solution offerings w/ net new NFV firms in North America.

  • Direct ownership of identification and establishing sell through business relationship with these new firms.

  • Ownership of communicating the Intel Data Center Networking Value Prop.

  • Establishing executive relationships with key Internal and external personnel to deliver on critical revenue targets.

  • Fellow Travel ecosystem engagement supporting the primary NFV Solution Focus Areas

  • Align closely with BU support on projects in flight.

  • Voice of the customer to provide feedback into the Intel


Successful sales professional with strong executive relationship and account management skills.

  • 10+ years of experience in solution selling roles w/ F500 account and/or Telco / Cloud Service Provider Accounts

  • National experience and an excellent knowledge in selling with/through a Solution Provider

  • Strong self-starting ability to meet Sr Executives at new to Intel NFV services accounts

  • Competency in using CRM (ie: sales force) in defining objectives, deliverables, pipeline, and deal management

Additional qualifications include:

  • Strategic vision, leadership and solution implementation experience

  • Excellent cross-functional team leadership and strong influence/matrix management skills

  • Experience in setting and implementing strategic vision and strategies with major NFV Solution Provider accounts

  • Proven track record of creating, managing and operating in virtual teams - driving strategies, tactics and goals/objectives

  • History of working with Intel Finance and Legal and a strong understanding of managing budgets and contracts

  • Strong understanding of our ODM/OEM, SSG, and DCG organizations, their personnel, and resources

  • Proven ability to negotiate and influence at senior levels across internal/external stakeholders

  • Strong knowledge of Intel's data center networking strategies, products, and key verticals

  • Experience creating MOUs and driving sales development programs

  • Proven track record in facilitating teamwork, providing feedback and recognizing accomplishments of team members

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of navigating complex customer engagements

  • Strong ecosystem understanding our NFV HW and SW providers.

  • Excellent public speaker
