Dr Pepper Snapple Group Sr Financial Analyst in Plano, Texas

Position Responsibilities: * Support the business around planning, forecasting, and marketing analysis for brand marketing spend and licensing royalty income and expense * Partner with Brand teams, Accounting teams, and Business Unit finance teams to accurately report vendor commitments, prepaid balances, and marketing expenses * Prepare summary level variance analysis accurately, explaining key drivers of spending changes as required by Business Unit finance teams (Actual vs. Plan, Actual vs. Forecast, Actual vs. Prior Year) * Provide monthly financial performance and budget information to Brand teams * Conduct monthly budget and financial review meetings with Brand teams to develop a solid understanding of marketing programs by brand including timing, marketing tactics, and vendors * Ensure marketing commitments, including valid approvals and legal/procurement approval where needed, are loaded in the Marketing Commitment Tracker to effectively substantiate all accruals and expense entries * Prepare account reconciliations in AssureNet for SAP, as well as reconciling Brand Spend between systems such as Marketing Funds, SAP, and TM1 * Maintain Marketing Budget Tracker requiring expertise in MS Excel * Coordinate all month- and year-end close activities * Prepare and assist in the delivery of various training opportunities to Brand Marketing teams * Provide ad hoc reports as requested

The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and be able to manage projects across multiple departments with limited supervision. The candidate must be a self-starter, having solid broad-based finance skills and must possess strong leadership. This person will also have strong analytical and technical skills with ability to model business requirements and prepare "what-if" analysis. Experience with SAP, Marketing Funds, TM1 and Siebel is a plus. A Master’s degree would be preferred.

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited university 3 years minimum finance experience and interaction with the business commercial teams or a Master’s Degree in Finance/Accounting and 1 year finance experience and interaction with the business commercial teams.
