General Description

Responsible for the management and oversight of daily shipments. This role will maintain and develop relationships across logistics, warehouse and business unit employees to ensure that shipments are delivered to the warehouses within the KPI. This role will actively manage the logistics operations and identify areas for performance improvements. Managing teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control rather than development; short-term operational/tactical responsibilities. Typically accountable for providing sufficient information for higher autonomy to make recommendations on budget and policies and for medium-term planning.

  • Develops strategies including promotions, pricing, budgets, and future product line development with customers and client base.

  • Manages and analyzes product line performance and development of

“Key Performance Indicators” utilized in forecasting of product lines.

  • Manage and actively participate with the RFP and develop professional customer proposals

  • Develop competitive intelligence to gain an advantage

  • Update senior management on state of the business

  • Track and resolve shipping, warehouse, and carrier shipping errors, recommends cost structures.

  • Inbound shipment tracking and delivery verification from multiple origins or points of manufacture to customer’s domestic distribution and warehousing facilities.

  • Leads special project transportation and ancillary services

  • Document and data collection for supporting departments/activities

  • Manages Logistics staffs

  • All other duties as assigned.

Necessary Skills / Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 10+ years prior supervisory/management experience

  • Management of a team of 5 onsite employees including goal setting, performance expectations and writing performance reviews

  • 7+ years of experience in the logistics or supply chain industry

  • The successful candidate must have demonstrated the ability to develop and implement complex business plans, manage resources, and analyze data

  • Ability to work in a changing, fast paced environment is a must

  • Individual must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects concurrently

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to interact with internal and external contacts

  • Ability to read, prepare, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents in both English and Korean languages;

  • Preferred bi-lingual Korean/English (speak, read, write)

  • Advanced analytical MS-Excel and MS-Word computer skills are required

  • Advanced SAP

  • Bachelor’s specializing in business, supply chain, logistics, or accounting

  • Master’s degree and/or supply chain certification
