Job Description

  • Under general supervision, maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.

  • Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces a variety of hardware and software systems.

  • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.

  • Provides routine analysis and problem solving of network or PC software, hardware or peripherals. Works beyond routine nature of tasks utilizing a specialized knowledge and technology.

  • Contacts and coordinates with hardware or software vendors for service if necessary. Installs computer hardware, software and peripherals for new employees or for employee relocations.

  • Installs new software packages and upgrades. May control password assignment. May aid in the development of system documentation and procedure manuals as required.

  • May facilitate and conduct training sessions for company employees in the operation of software/hardware systems.


  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A two year degree or equivalent is preferred. Requires at least 2 years related experience.

  • Excellent customer service skills required. Knowledge of a wide range of hardware and software products required. Must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate technical issues.
