General Description

QA Engineer (Mult)


Duties: Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards for the pre-production and production sample testing and evaluation of wireless products and related accessories. Perform lab and field tests using standard test procedures to ensure customer quality assurance requirements and for common carrier and specific customer feature and applications operability. Draft test procedures for all accessories and terminals in accordance with customer product standards, customer feature requirements, and infrastructure adaptations. Troubleshoot related issues and test, maintain, and monitor relevant solutions and logs. Gather requirements and translate them into test designs and test cases. Strategize, plan, document, and execute testing. Compile test results data and write required equipment engineering reports, test plans, and follow up procedures, to ensure that the company products comply with Korean HQ GSM and CDMA standards. Coordinate effectively and efficiently with Korean HQ manufacturing engineering teams in Korea with the US support team and other US lab members, and with various US carriers and infrastructure companies' engineering personnel.

Necessary Skills / Attributes

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and two years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation in the mobile wireless telecommunications industry. Experience must include: (1) Two years of hands on experience working on all aspects of testing life cycle for wireless mobile devices for international wireless carriers. (2)Two years of experience planning, developing, and executing feature test cases and functional test scripts for wireless mobile applications. (3) Two years of experience in performing and managing quality assurance activities, including functional and regression testing, performance and stress testing. (4) Two years of experience in identifying causes of defects, developing improvement processes, and communicating solutions to management or customers. (5)Two years of experience testing software/hardware applications and architecture for mobile devices. (6)Two years of experience collaborating or coordinating on projects with international teams or counterparts. (7)Two years of experience with operating systems (OS) and mobile wireless telecommunications technology, including GSM/WCDMA/LTE. (8)Strong problem solving and analytical skills, communication (verbal and written) skills, leadership skills, and organizational/documentation skills.
