International Paper Stacker Operator in SAN ANTONIO SHEET FEEDER, Texas

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Following all safety rules and procedures;

  • Reading factory work orders and corrugator schedules to learn customer specifications;

  • Verifying (measuring) sheets to insure that sheet sizes and score locations conform to customer specifications. Communicate to Crew/Supervisor to correct nonconformities;

  • Doing soak tests and communicate to crew;

  • Performing quality checks: flute, grade, caliper, bond, warp, edge quality, score profiles, board print surface quality, and proper liner coating/color if applicable;

  • Identifying sheets with specification sheets for Bander/Taggers;

  • Removing, siding, and identifying nonconforming materials (warp, loose, out-of-line, etc.);

  • Submitting work orders to Supervisor for any machine maintenance issues;

  • Making batches of starch and verifying starch quality;

  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas;

  • Completing accurate records;

  • Assist with month end inventories; and

  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

    The qualifications for stacker operators are the ability to meet the requirements of the job with or without accommodation; the ability to read, write, and speak English; the ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; the ability to use basic shop math; the ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
