Job Description

The position of the Administrative Healthcare Assistant – Senior for the clinic of Orthotics and Prosthetics is responsible for inventory maintenance and administrative support that requires exercising initiative and independent judgement. This position requires a knowledge of a broad range of university regulations, policies, and procedures as it relates to accounting and purchasing.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have experience with University policies, procedures, and systems such as PeopleSoft, as well as experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel. Experience and knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or ordering and inventory control preferred.

Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.

Support processes for the procurement of goods and services through the preparation of PeopleSoft requisitions, travel requisitions, local/state vouchers, travel vouchers, and prior approvals.

Job Duty

Records purchases, maintains inventory and purchasing system (OPIE), performs physical count of inventory on a weekly basis, and reconciliation of actual stock count.

Job Duty

Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary. Keeps track of invoice records for accounting. Processes and documents returns as required following established procedures.

May lead, guide, and train staff employees in cross training on performing related work. Performs other duties as assigned.
