Job Description:

Required Skills:

  • Registered Nurse with current RN license in good standing required. Must be able to obtain additional state licenses as required.

  • Minimum of five years’ recent and related experience in one of the following clinical areas: telephone triage, ER, ICU, CCU, Med/Surg or Urgent Care.

  • Provides medical information and symptom triage through the use of established medical guidelines designed to support the call center process; communicates information, makes recommendations, and verifies patient understanding regarding the patient’s healthcare issues and/or concerns; Performs initial assessment of life, limb, or eye-sight threatening conditions.

  • Educates patients on the appropriate use of the health care system based on clinical judgment, established guidelines, and client needs; ensures the quality of the service provided by maintaining current knowledge of department resources, policies, and service delivery measurements.

  • Promotes positive communication and effective working relationships with others; demonstrates initiative to meet individual, team, and company objectives; participates in call center subcommittees to communicate information and ideas in a timely and effective manner among team members.

  • Provides professional services that meet or exceed the patient and customer needs.

  • Works with team members to improve and promote department quality standards.

  • Distributes accurate and timely reporting to client as required; prepares customer data according to department and documentation standards.

  • Performs other related duties as required

  • Experience with a Windows-based pc environment and in utilizing common office applications, including email, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Mid or Evening shift only Day 8a start, Eve 3:30pm start, Night 11pm start . Must be willing to work that shift. Preference is for someone who has worked those shifts before.

  • Additional notes from 8/10 "This is a Temp position it is not for any specified amount of time. The position is working for the Coventry division of Client but is not an Client position it is an agency position. There will be 2-3 weeks of training in the classroom. After that the plan is to send nurses to work at home for mentoring and working. This means they need to have access to high speed internet in their area, be able to allow a landline phone to be installed. They need a work space that is private for HIPAA compliance. Working at home is not a replacement for child or elder care and if they work hours that this is needed it is expected care is provided by someone other than them. This is a job that requires good keyboarding skills aka typing. Excellent PC skills and the ability to type/talk/think at the same time. It is a fast paced production environment talking with injured workers to determine the best level of care. This is not case management even though that is the given title in IQN. This is Telephone Triage. Short calls as employees either will need to get to care or get back to work. We are 24/7/365.

  • Flexibility to work a 10am or later start to include every other weekend is a plus! as no benefits. Subject to change if position does transition to an Client job offer in the department. Seeking US trained RN or if foreign trained has passed the NCLEX. Must hold an unrestricted Compact License. No disciplinary actions against their license."
