The Cyber Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Specialist will ensure products and services comply with all appropriate (ITSEC) certification & accreditation requirements and best practices as prescribed by the ODNI, DIA, DoD, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), DoD Information Assurance Certification process (DIACAP), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and local authorities. In addition, the C&A Specialist will:
Ensure that all products and services delivered on the contract meet or exceed the security criteria specified by external authorities for product certification and fielding, and do so with minimal need for corrective actions.
Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.
Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.
Respond to, and process Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) and Interim Authority to Test (IATT) requests for customers.
Must have DoD 8570 IAT III Level Certification or be able to obtain Certified Information Systems Security Professional(CISSP)certification within 6 months of hire date.
Possess a sound understanding of Microsoft Office and various Microsoft and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
Pass Mission Qualification Training or similar and obtain Mission Ready certification within 6 months of hire date or within 3 months of obtaining in-class instruction, whichever comes last.
Highly analytical with the ability to understand and implement customer objectives is desired.
Experience or familiarity with military operations highly desirable.
DOD Security Policies, Deployment Life Cycle Acquisition Life Cycle, DAU and ACQ training a plus.
Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Assurance or related technical degree.
