Job Summary:

The LeafGuard Lead Generator will be responsible for proactively engaging, educating and persuading a consumer to schedule an in-home sales consultation with the client’s sales team. This person will primarily be working at Home Shows and other local events where leads could be generated for the client. The position requires a combination of an outgoing personality and the ability to quickly determine if the consumer is an ideal candidate for the client’s products and services. Having some basic knowledge of home improvement products and services would be beneficial to the performance of this position. Primary duties include actively seeking out consumers at the event and educate them on the benefits of the client’s products. He/she will also need to determine if the consumer is a homeowner or not and if so suggest that they schedule a “free” in-home consultation with the client’s sales team. This position could be full or part-time depending on the market. Compensation for the position will include an hourly wage plus a commission for all leads scheduled in the client’s scheduling system

Essential Functions:

  • Proactively engages and educates consumers on the benefits of purchasing the products and services of the client

  • Qualifies the consumer to determine if they are the right profile for purchasing the products and services of the client

  • Performs demonstrations of the client’s products to allow the consumer to fully understand the benefits of the products

  • Convinces the consumer to schedule a “Free” in-home consultation with the client’s sales team

  • Collects and enters appropriate consumer and competitive data required by the client into a MarketSource work order system

  • Researches local and national events and provide insight as to whether they are a good fit for the client

Supervisory or Management Responsibility/Decision Making Level:

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 2 years minimum lead generation, or retail sales experience

  • 2 years minimum experience in successful support roles

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:

  • Ability to meet deadlines with little supervision (Self-starter)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills

  • Understanding of business systems, business processes, and client expectations

  • Proactive, self-motivated, entrepreneurial attitude

  • Working knowledge with the Internet and web based data collection and reporting

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Some overnight travel may be required

  • Must have reliable transportation
