This is the place to do your life's best work.(sm) The Senior Network Program Analysts are responsible for the assessing, developing, and maintaining the processes surrounding our selection and analysis of networks for current and prospective customers.

This includes analysis of network and pharmacy data including: collection of data; verifying validity of data; analysis of data as required; and presentation of recommendations including supporting data for various customers and / or corporate initiatives.

Positions in the Function are responsible for assisting in the development of network and pharmacy strategies by providing analytical support and knowledge of current process, requirements and capabilities within the Network & PBM Analysis team.Primary Responsibilities Assess customer needs and requirements Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information available Analyzes network data available to determine and recommend optimal network solutions for our current and/or prospective customers Prepare requested network discount guarantees for prospective or current customers Review, track and reconcile network discount guarantees for current customers Identifies solutions to non-standard requests Respond to non-standard requests for information in RFPs as permitted within our network requirements Provide support in data manipulation and translation to complete analysis on non-standard claim and / or eligibility files Assists in creation and maintenance of reporting tools to assist in responding to future non-standard requests Complete moderately complex network analysis Develop the tools and processes necessary to support the production of standard network and pharmacy analysis reports Work with other departments within the company to identify data sources and tools available to complete complex network and pharmacy analysis Create reports based on the data available outside of the standard reporting tools available within Network & PBM Analysis and Contract Administration Review, recommend and implement solutions to identified issues within a particular network or pharmacy analysis project or within the network & PBM analysis processes Provides explanations, information and feed back to others Provide training and support to individuals and / or groups on technical and analytical processes within the Network & PBM Analysis and Contracting team as required Present summarized recommendations and results of complex customer network solutions to customers, producers, sales staff and team members as necessary Present summarized recommendations with supporting data to internal departments on complex analytical projects supporting network development and strategies Assist in development and maintenance of the processes and procedures within Network Analysis Collects provider demographic and penetration information from leased networks Maintains databases by developing, organizing, and communicating information requirements for more efficient job flow Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, making recommendations, new procedures, forms, manuals and reporting needed changes Develops and implements test plans to determine the accuracy of changes to computerized processing and department procedures Evaluates and documents results of testing Note: Addendums may be added to state duties, responsibilities and / or requirements unique or specific to assigned area. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in math, finance, business, health care administration, related field or equivalent working knowledge of analytics in the healthcare industry Requires a minimum of three to five years of relevant network or healthcare analytics experience Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates proficiency in operating a PC, software and mainframe applications, and GEONetowrk product applications is desired Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrates sound decision making, problem-solving, and organizational skills Evidence of the ability to analyze situations, consider alternatives, and effectively make recommendations Ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks simultaneously Able to prioritize, plan, organize and manage work effectively with minimal supervision Job Requirements / Working Conditions: Locations include San Antonio, TX; Wausau, WI; Cincinnati, OH Working in a normal office environment Limited travel may be required Careers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
