The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Hire, coach, and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives; provide constant feedback and guidance to your team to enable their growth and development

  • Manage day-to-day activities of SDR team including live coaching and mentoring, tracking and evaluating KPIs (such as activity volume, statistics, conversion rates, etc.)

  • Develop prospecting strategies and call plans for SDR team based on aligning business needs with available resources

  • Maintain focus on driving desired outcomes such as qualified lead generation, conversion rates SDR productivity, and contribution to pipeline and bookings.

  • Work closely with marketing teams and provide closed-loop reporting to ensure that prospecting strategies, campaign content, and messaging are aligned with desired outcomes

  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements around process, efficiency, and productivity of the SDR team

  • Align with sales enablement to build a curriculum for SDR team that spans onboarding, product knowledge, industry awareness, and role acumen

  • Partner with sales teams to ensure SDR-generated leads meet their expectations and that handoffs maintain a positive customer experience; provide closed-loop reporting to sales leadership on SDR and sales team partnership

  • Build team culture - keep the team engaged, informed, and motivated; foster a competitive and collaborative team environment with creative incentive and recognition strategies


Requirements for qualified candidates:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field; business or marketing preferred

  • 2+ years people management experience leading a sales or lead generation team; demonstrated success in achieving results through leading others

  • 2+ years B2B sales experience as an individual contributor with a track record of exceeding targets

  • Ninja-level Salesforce.com (or other CRM) skills

  • Thorough knowledge of best practices for outbound lead generation and SDR team leadership

  • High-level knowledge of managed cloud marketplace and Rackspace's products/services

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision

  • Passion for coaching and mentoring individuals and teams

  • Ability to adapt/adjust priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent data analytics skills and experience creating, tracking, and reporting individual and team metrics

  • Alignment with Rackspace's core values and business strategy
