CVS Health Pharmacy Technician II Non Clinical Divert in San Antonio, Texas

Position Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians to excel in a complex, team-oriented environment while having the opportunity to develop and strengthen technical skills and pharmacology knowledge. The Non-Clinical Divert technician is responsible for screening orders, and specializes in research and review of prescription overrides. Our technicians are empowered to take ownership of the investigation process, and partner closely with neighboring departments to help support the efficiency and timeliness of the pharmacy workflow. We require our pharmacy technicians to think outside the box and get creative! To help support growth and development, technicians may be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required.

Required Qualifications:

Must have Texas Trainee License or Registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy.

At least 6 months of previous pharmacy technician experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

National Certification (CPhT) is preferred, but not required.

Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

Ability to positively deal with changes and promote a positive work environment.

Basic knowledge and understanding of a pharmacy workflow.

Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think globally.

Comfortable working in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

Availability Monday - Friday, 8:30a-5:00pm; rotating weekend

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
