Responsiblefor conducting and coordinating the development and completion of residentassessments, in accordance with the requirements of State, Federal and Companyguidelines. Responsible for overseeing the generation of Minimum Data Set (MDS)for each Medicare patient and electronic transmission of required data withintimeframe mandated by the State.

Your responsibilities:

*Conduct and coordinate the development and completion of resident assessments,in accordance with the requirements of State, Federal and Company guidelines

  • Ensures generation and transmission of MDS is complete and timely. Maintainsand periodically updates written policies and procedures that govern thedevelopment, use, and implementation of the resident assessment (MDS) and careplan. Ensures that a current copy of the MDS Instructor"s Manual is availableto persons completing portions of the MDS.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains an ongoing quality assurance program forthe resident assessment/care plans. Monitors the community"s QI and QM reportsto ensure that appropriate corrective action can be implemented when potentialproblems occur.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for theresident assessment/care plans

  • Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timelyin-service training classes that include assessment skills or techniques neededto complete the assessment and MDS functions of the community

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Current State RN or LPN License

  • Must have a minimum of two years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital,nursing care community, or other related health care facility

  • Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing andmedical practices, procedures, regulations and guidelines governing long-termcare

  • Flexibility with schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
