Develop hardware/software solutions (including sensor fusion and control systems) for autonomous/automated/unmanned vehicle, mobile robotic, and intelligent vehicle systems; perform in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements definition, hardware/software/systems design, implementation, testing, and integration; initiate advanced research and development programs, interact with clients, and make technical presentations. Requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineer, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with at least a 3.5 GPA. BS with minimum of 2 years; MS with minimum of 1 year; PhD with 0 years of academic project and/or industry experience in developing hardware/software for applications in autonomous/automated/unmanned vehicle and/or mobile robotic systems including, but not limited to, image/sensor processing for those applications. Masters or PhD is preferred. MS and PhD candidates must have done their thesis/dissertation in an research area pertinent to autonomous vehicles or robotics in the unmanned ground, sea or air domain. Experience in developing hardware/software for applications in autonomous/automated vehicle and/or mobile robotic systems including, but not limited to, image/sensor processing, localization/positioning, or path planning/control for those applications; Linux and various PC operating systems experience required; C++ development experience required; Robot Operating System (ROS) experience preferred; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well individually or as a member of a project team is required; excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
