Job Description

This position is for an active cancer immunology laboratory expected to contain at least one postdoc and one technician. Current areas of research include murine tumor models, immunotherapy and vaccine development. Ideal candidates will be motivated, highly organized, curious, and personable.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with mouse handling preferred – especially colony maintenance, setting up breeders, weaning pups, organ or blood collection, injections, etc. Experience with FACS analysis and FACS sorting a plus.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Performs histological, bacteriological, chemical, physiological, and immunological techniques and procedures including FACS sorting and FACS analysis. Processing and storing biological specimens for biobanking and updating databases.

Percentage Of Time 30

Job Duty

Ordering animals for research experiments and maintaining animal inventory and procedure logs. Murine colony maintenance, setting up breeders, weaning pups, organ or blood collection, injections, etc. Murine experiments.

Percentage Of Time 40

Job Duty

Conducts library and topical research pertinent to protocols. Conducts experiments and studies and assesses outcomes; adapts continued studies based on the organization of findings. Writes and prepares final papers/reports to support findings; submits evidence for publication under the direction of PI.

Job Duty

General laboratory management, inventory maintenance and ordering supplies. Preparing reagents/solutions. Other duties as assigned.
