General Dynamics Information Technology Research Technician III in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

  1. Responsible for supporting laboratory based research applying the latest scientific knowledge towards the solution of a broad range of theoretical and practical problems in the areas of infectious disease, maxillofacial wound treatment, nanomaterials, and the study of multi-drug resistant microorganisms and biofilms.

  2. Modify and plan research experiments, procedures, and tests.

  3. Coordinate the implementation of sponsored and PI initiated laboratory research studies, including maintenance of study records and activities associated with internal and external audits in coordination with the PI.

  4. Assist in research design.


  1. M.S., (5+ years' experience in certified Biochemistry, Biomaterials, Cell Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Nanomaterials, or related field. Or B.S., (12+ years of experience same fields listed above).

  2. Ability to research and collect data through complex laboratory/scientific experiments, techniques, and procedures; library research; or through other means for research projects.

  3. Ability to develop, organize and maintain the databases. Responsible for data validation and quality control.


8-10 years of related experience in scientific research and analysis.
