Hearst Digital Marketing Services is proud to announce the creation of a new Regional Sales Training Manager in our San Antonio office. Based out of the San Antonio Express News Group, this position is responsible for participating in the development and implementation of initial and continuous training within a geographic area (Southwest) of the company. The Training Manager will have ownership of training new products and product changes, ensuring that all Sales Personnel can quickly master and sell our entire suite of digital marketing products. The Training Manager ensures the early adoption and penetration of both product and sales skills across Sales Department Personnel, including knowledge and skill development in Product Knowledge, Selling Techniques, Sales Scripting and Sales Processes. The position will also be responsible for tracking/reporting on Sales Personnel Certifications and working with Front-line Sales Management to achieve sales goals.
Selling Techniques, Core Product Training, Sales Technology/Tools and Sales Process. Ability to leverage technology to train groups remotely and in-person.
The Regional Training Manager will work closely with Sales Management on training needs assessment of current Sales Personnel. Creates and insures delivery of targeted sales skill training. Participates in report analysis of success and problem areas. Plays an active role in developing action plans to support achievement of goals. Refresher training on new products/processes or current product/processes changes. Serves as a knowledge based resource for all Sales Personnel. Rides with Sales Personnel to assess skill level, provide example of effective selling and help close sales. Provide positive feedback to Sales Personnel based on observations and coaches on opportunities for improvement. Spends time one-on-one with Sales Personnel coaching and training on skills. Helps New Hire Sales Personnel integrate into sales force through mentoring and concern resolution.
He / She will conduct trainings and ensure penetration of new products/packages designed to reach the SMB market, ensures early adoption & penetration to entire team and will have strong integration with our existing suite of products and sales process.
Our ideal candidate has a four year degree in business, 5+ years of direct B2B sales with extensive experience utilizing and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of internet marketing. Digital/Internet Sales experience is required. Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to motivate in front of a classroom or one-on-one are a must-have.
The candidate must be proficient in all Microsoft applications. Strong analytical skills to analyze sales data to identify trends. Must be able to develop a thorough knowledge of company processes. Strong working knowledge of the challenger sales technique or consultative selling is highly desired. Organizational skills, detail orientation are critical to the success of this role. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Travel in this position is about 50-60% (regional, overnight).
