Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Completion of technical coursework in electronic or related field. Three (3) years of related experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of a security system and equipment.

Responsible for performing skilled security technician in the installation, repair and maintenance of all security related systems.

Job Duty

Programs computer for security systems to include CCTV cameras and video management system to ensure proper storage is maintained. Conducts and oversees quality control review and inspection of security systems. Assists with or conducts training on physical security system. Performs work according to manufacturers specifications, departmental guidelines, blueprints, electrical schematics and other construction related documents as they relate to security system installation and maintenance.

Job Duty

Conducts research and recommends cost effective upgrades and/or replacements. Assists and works with outside vendors and technicians maintaining a solid working relationship with both on campus staff and outside system contractors.
