Tesoro Supervisor, Accounting - Bulk & Jet Billing in San Antonio, Texas

Responsible for the overall direction of the bulk and jet billing function including timely and accurate crude, refined and jet billing, dispute resolution, and compliance with company policies and SOX controls as well as supervising and developing staff.
Supervises billing of bulk sales for crude and refined products.
Oversees compliance with volume controls and contract pricing information to ensure accurate invoicing of sales transactions. Researches invoicing problems and recommends solutions and improvements.
Oversees transmission and receipt of daily terminal and airport jet sales data to ensure accurate, complete, and timely invoicing.
Completes testing to maintain electronic data systems and upgrades to systems as needed and recommends ongoing changes to billing procedures to improve timing and accuracy of invoices.
Maintains processes, controls, and reconciliations to ensure all transactions are processed.
Monitors related SOX controls to ensure compliance.
Serves as accounting liaison with Commercial, Marketing, Credit, and Tax departments related to billing matters.
Leads, develops, coaches, and oversees billing associates.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:*
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field required
Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience required
