Purpose of Job:
Responsible for providing clients with timely/accurate title reports in compliance with state specific underwriting guidelines compiled from title agent searches and additional resources as necessary.
Exam/approve and deliver titles and accompanying documents in compliance with underwriting/state guidelines, calculation of premiums/state tax and fees as required to eliminate/minimize risk to company.
Maintain communication via phone/email with vendors, clients, attorneys, members and employees in a timely, professional manner.
Monitor group email boxes and responding within allotted time frame.
Enter notes with all applicable details and updating appropriate status steps in operating systems.
Make revisions to titles as requested regarding loan amount changes, proposed insured, updates and amendments to titles, researching when necessary.
Conduct external searches regarding bankruptcies, patriots, Charles Jones, death index and tax information from outside sources.
Coordinate/Communicate with off shore typing teams in regards to their questions/status, obtaining additional information and follow up.
Escalate issues to management when applicable and consulting with underwriting/legal department as necessary.
Predetermine of clear to close files according to client specifics.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of Texas title requirements and guidelines preferred.
Must be able to obtain an Escrow Officer license from the Texas Department of Insurance.
Ability to multi-task.
Strong organizational skills are required, as well as excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to prioritize.
Ability to work as a team player.
