Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with three (3) years experience in the operation and repair of utility equipment.

Job Description

Inspect facilities and equipment for discrepancies, non-operational equipment or code violations. Perform maintenance actions during inspections. Operate utility system equipment in the most efficient, economical, and expedient manner possible. Maintain, repair, and install utility system equipment. Ensure the proper use of labor and materials. Communicate equipment and facility conditions with coworkers and supervisor.

Perform shift rounds and inspect buildings or areas assigned as per specified shift duties. Perform equipment repairs and ensure that equipment & building system status is passed on to appropriate personnel.

Job Duty

Respond to trouble calls, equipment alarms, fire alarm system alarms, elevator malfunctions and other calls for assistance.

Job Duty

Inspect, repair & maintain equipment and building systems in assigned area. Become subject matter expert on all assigned equipment and building systems. Work with supervisor to coordinate repairs or supplies on/for equipment.

Job Duty

Perform water testing and analysis on boilers, cooling towers, steam condensate systems, water softeners, and reverse osmosis units. Document results of testing & ensure readings are passed on to appropriate personnel. Regenerate softeners.

Job Duty

Perform preventive maintenance work on equipment. Document use of materials or parts and work with supervisor to resupply items to maintain stock. Ensure accurate measurements & records are maintained for equipment history files. Communicate with customers, coworkers, contractors, & supervisor about equipment & building system operations, repairs, maintenance, or installation. Documentation of labor & materials expended for work orders, time management accountability. Equipment history files maintenance. Assist Control Room Operator with Campus operations. Performs other duties as assigned.
