Job Description:

Visionworks currently has an opening for a top notch individual to office in our manufacturing facility for the position of Startline Tech.The Startline Tech receives, sorts, and prioritizes work as it enters the Start Line area. Performs support functions as necessary within the Start Line area. Verifies proper job materials are received and preps job trays for further facility processing.

Essential Responsibilities:**

  • Tray Opening Table

  • Prioritize tray processing and verify work order.

  • Verify Work order SKU numbers to corresponding lens box SKU numbers.

  • Remove lens from box, place box in trash can, place lens in tray ,mark with marker , Left lens (L), Right lens (R) Place work order in tray, stack trays 6 high the place trays on conveyor. Empty trash can as needed.

  • Double Tray Table

  • Remove lenses and work order from tray (green) and place in (white) tray. Left lens on left side right lens on right side. Stack (white) tray on top of (green) tray. Properly fold work order and correctly place in tray with job ID # and bar code facing out.

  • Place doubled stacked trays on conveyor.

  • Taping Station

  • Clear errors pertaining to operation flows, clean suction bowl, filter and auto belt track.

  • Properly change tape as needed.

  • Ability to communicate and escalate technical faults with peers and principles.

  • Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility.

  • Practice and comply with all requirements of our Quality Management System (QMS),

  • as well as regulations promoting a safe and healthy work place environment.


  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred

Experience & Background:

  • One to three (3) years of related manufacturing experience preferred

Language Skills:

  • Must be able to read English to understand written procedures, hazardous warnings. etc.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions

  • General problem solving abilities
