  • Support tenant on boarding and solution architecture

  • Collaborate on a team of OpenStack Engineers responsible for resolution of client incidents throughout incident lifecycle

  • Reproduce tenant issues in a lab environment, confirm bugs, triage for development team and escalation engineer liason

  • Provides support for Linux and OpenStack in both production and preproduction environments

  • Work with escalation engineers and service assurance engineers as required


  • Bachelors degree in technical field or equivalent work experience. Master's degree preferred. Relevant work experience in the following areas:

  • 4+ years of demonstrable experience including:

  • Deploying OpenStack or other large distributed system

  • Experience as support technician

  • Experience working with KVM, libvirt, VMWare, or other virtualization technology

  • Experienced Linux systems administration (prefer in Virtualized environment)

  • Scripting skills (e.g. Python, Shell, Ruby, Perl, other)

  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and fire walls

  • Willingness to learn new technologies

  • Willingness to enhance team learning environment by providing and encouraging mentorship and technical leadership

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with monitoring tools (Icinga2, Monasca, Nagios, Ganglia, Zabbix)

  • Experience working modern configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)

  • Experience with distributed storage solutions (iSCSl, Ceph, Swift, other)

  • Experience with networking concepts and protocols

  • Contributions to open-source projects
