GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the solution design and product management for Sabre AirCentre Crew Manager (Next Generation) product. Ensures development meets market requirements; manages product release schedule and requirements. Acts as the subject matter expert on a consulting basis on multiple projects. MUST HAVE 5 Years of Crew Scheduling experience in an airline.

  • Under general direction with minimal oversight, delineates requirements to solve complex business problems using differing technologies and systems views across multiple functional domains (within Sabre and between Sabre and its customer) on high profile and/or mission critical efforts and projects.

  • For assigned product initiatives, collaborates with Account Management, Customer Care, Delivery SMEs, Delivery Project Management, Development, GTE, and Development Program Management.

  • Facilitates product concept and requirements workshops with clients and internal development teams in pursuit of product requirements, objectives, and architecture decisions.

  • Collaborates with product delivery and technology team to validate detailed design, particularly to ensure that product objectives and key requirements are met and aligned with the market needs and business unit strategy.

  • Assist Product Manager from product development to product launch, ensuring execution is in line with project plan for complex product initiatives

  • Assist Product Manager to understand and aligned on product roadmap and its execution via quarterly releases

  • Assist Product Manager in making priority decisions having broad knowledge of Crew business and thorough knowledge of what the product can do.

  • Advanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible solutions.

  • Develop Business Requirements, Change Requests, Acceptance Criteria, Business Test cases, and Release Notes in support of implementations.

  • Provides expert level functional assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.

  • Provide support to Development team by assisting with functionality questions, addressing testing issues, training on new products, as assigned.

  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

  • Monitor labor hours; budgeted versus actual.


EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.


“Must have” Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years related experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of Airline Flight crew Management, duty and flight duty period limits.

  • Excellent computer software skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Airline back ground in crew scheduling or flight operations

“Nice to have” skills:

  • Experience with working with development and testing teams

  • Understanding technology and its implications on the product
