As a Sr. System Administrator you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and operating SWN’s entire architecture. You will also be managing and providing training, education and support of other team members in current and future technologies. Other responsibilities include planning, researching and presenting new technologies to upper management. Recommends (and implements after approval) the redesign and configuration of operating systems and other infrastructure components. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management of ongoing projects. The Senior System Administrator is responsible for the reliability, performance, recoverability and security of SWN’s infrastructure. This position requires a proactive team player that must uphold the core values of the organization, which include integrity, reliability, respect, personal accountability, creative initiative, teamwork and excellence.
Under general direction, assists with the following:
Design, implement, and maintain complex systems
Understands the business and makes recommendations for improvements
Leads projects throughout lifecycle
Performs software installations, configurations and upgrades to operating systems and third-party software packages.
Installs, configures, and maintains Windows and/or Linux servers
Monitoring server/storage environment
Architect, implement, and maintain virtualization platform
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware and software problems on servers/storage
Advanced knowledge storage
Communicates well in both written and verbal medium. Can communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Support and maintain Business Continuity Plan and Contingency Plan by creating redundant systems and quality control measures, security review, testing and documentation
Serve as a role model to less senior members of the organization.

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with OS and file systems
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Load Balancers
Extensive knowledge and experience in System monitoring tools and performance monitoring tools
Extensive knowledge and experience in systems and infrastructure security
Extensive knowledge of distributed systems with high availability
Proven experience with large MSSQL and Oracle implementations
Thorough understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity
Advanced experience in Project Management methodology
Excellent documentation of processes, procedures and diagrams
