Kelly Services Usability/Mobility Analyst, Aviation SME in Spring, Texas
Business Subject matter Expert (SME) and support resources need to have more technical skills combined with deep business knowledge to support and help direct all the current/upcoming changes and customer support services. The Aviation SME position needs to keep pace and change and adapt with the constantly changing technical and business environment. Data mining/analytics and projects require a deep holistic view and knowledge of the End to End (E2E) business process (Supply chain and Aviation Order to Cash) as well as confident technical background in the Client specific systems. This position combines aviation expertise, business management, and IT systems expertise.
Aviation Business background:
The aviation business has complex customer/county/site specific processes to maximize the benefit in this low margin market. Most of the unique processes are built on aging technologies (Mainframe; DB2) which are planned to be retired in mid-term period and migrate to SAP. The current downfall of the project is the available knowledge is very limited to help the SAP migration understand the Cobol coded mainframe processes; draft the ‘as-is’ E2E processes; serve the current business needs until the project closure.
Because of the old Mainframe based tools the position requires the same high level of corporate specific technical and business knowledge to help solving complex base support issues and advising projects in terms of architectural/design related questions and specified complex business process (interfaces, DFT, validation rules etc.)
Four unique skill sets prized by Midstream Aviation Business:
System coding (DB2, Cobol) Architectural knowledge (all Exxon specific aviation systems and interfaces, preferred)
Data mining and analytics (DB2) Project management (NA Stripes, E-Stripes, Odyssey, divestment projects etc) Aviation Business knowledge (e.g. Order to Cash value chain, deep knowledge about aviation systems and interfaces)
Expected qualifications of a highly skilled individual:
High Knowledge of the Fuel Delivery system (AVR2000) and interfaces to customers and internal Aviation Systems Knowledge of the entire Aviation Order to Cash process including all the interfaces and the following systems:
Data Concentrator (collects and validates delivery data) SMARTS (Invoicing system) AIMS (Pricing System) INNET (Intercompany Accounting and Billing system) EMA Online (Aviation Customer Portal) SAP (ERP System containing Aviation Financials and Stock Recording)
Technical Knowledge of DB2 and Cobol and architecture
The classification level of the current position is high (Level 3); System Consultant (Architect) with specialized Client architecture and E2E Client specific Aviation business progress knowledge:
Responsible for analyzing complex IT and business processes across the whole end to end Aviation Order to Cash business data flow. Identifies business needs and makes suggestions regarding technical and business process direction. Advises technical teams in terms of coding and architecture development as well as the project teams in terms of business direction and understanding business process. Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position
