JOBSUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Application programmer for EDI team. Work with ibusiness teams to define/design/code/test/implement and maintain all aspects of EDI to suit business needs. Work directly with partner specifications to perform gap analysis including extracting data from multiple systems, to build EDI maps.
Create documentation when appropriate.
Provide detailed status updates when needed.
Log accurate information into the Time-Tracking system.
Continuously learn new tools and environments and acquire new skills to maintain and enhance job performance.
Ensure McLane Methodology is followed.
Ensure requirements match the design specifications for each plan.
Ensure the development deliverables match the design specifications.
Ensure the test plans match the requirements.
Ensure the test results match the test plans.
Provide high-level detailed estimates and detailed developer specifications.
Create an appropriate test environment for the project team to work with and validate the delivered solutions.
Develop and test solutions using the McLane development tools in the development environment that meet the McLane standards.
Provide the appropriate implementation documentation for installs.
Manage and execute the System-Testing Process and the UAT Process.
Support the implementation and post-implementation activities
Read, understand and interpret data models.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must have:
Technical skills - IBM Mainframe, MVS/TSO COBOL DB2/Stored Procedures, JCL.
Subset skills - Data Transport FTP/MQ, Gentran.
Technical skills - UNIX/LINUX, SQL(DB2 on z/OS, DB2 on iSeries, Oracle and SQL Server).
2+ years experience in a related information systems field.
Work with other team members.
Minimum 2 years total work experience with Sterling Integrator or Gentran Application Integrator map interface(s)
Ability to assist transitioning current B2B partners from legacy Gentran system to IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
Work with internal and external business teams to define, design, code, test, implement and maintain all aspects of electronic documents to suit business needs, particularly new business opportunities or new documents that partners request.
Ability to provide complete gap analysis between partner electronic document specifications and internal systems
Working knowledge of Sterling Integrator business processes, services, adapters but preference given to candidates with extensive work experience in this area
Knowledge of B2B (EDI) and XML documents and experience with X12 EDI documents to include (832, 879, 888, 850, 855, 860, 875, 856, 810, 880, 820).
Working knowledge of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
Working with partner specifications to convert data into deployable translation maps.
Assist transitioning current B2B partners from legacy Trusted Link to B2B Integrator.
Experience with XML data mapping and/or XSLT transformations preferably in Sterling Integrator.
Work experience setting up and troubleshooting B2B communications to include (AS2, SFTP, FTP, Connect Direct).
