AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot assigned engines/components at the highest quality and safety standards in accordance with applicable technical directives. Troubleshoot, test and repair engine electrical components. Specific tasking for this position can be located in the applicable work center Job Qualification Standards (JQS). The following represents general duties and responsibilities this position will be required to complete.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Perform operational checks utilizing applicable testing equipment on engine and test cell electrical components.

  2. Comply with all applicable contractual programs and regulations, i.e. tool, safety, security, HAZMAT, support equipment, housekeeping, and FOD prevention programs.

  3. Assist the Senior Mechanic, in coordination with the Training Manager and Division Foreman with on the job training requirements.

  4. Accomplish paperwork entries associated with maintenance tasks and the ordering of parts.

  5. Maintain shop equipment and precision measuring tools.

  6. Conduct maintenance inspections of engine/component to ensure quality and completeness.

  7. Perform qualified tasks to disassemble, reassemble electrical components required to perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable technical directives.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-50 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; candidates must have a journeyman license with a minimum of four year experience and a state license (Texas or Arkansas).

Passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check is required.

Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) within 60 days of hire if required.

Must be available for any shift. Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
