Mainland Medical Center is currently looking for an Environmental Services Technician. This is a PRN position.
Responsibilities: To perform a variety of cleaning functions in all areas of the building, both patient and non-patient care areas. Responds to customer needs in a timely and courteous manner. Cleans assigned areas using the 9 Step cleaning method, using proper cleaning solutions and equipment safety. To provide the highest cleaning standards of environmental sanitation possible for the health and welfare of patients, visitors and fellow employees.
Responsible for all high dusting, wall washing, vent cleaning, dust mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming and changing of the cubical curtains in assigned work area.
Demonstrates knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and solutions according to Policy and Procedure.
Ensures all assigned areas are clean and orderly, free from dust, clutter or trash, and contamination from infectious materials with efficiency for patient satisfaction.
Uses good safety practices according to hospital policies.
Responsible for reporting any maintenance or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Participates in the monthly department meetings.
Distributes linen if required.
As needed and agreed upon, step-up to Lead.
Adheres to and complies with HCA's ethics and compliance policies in the Code of Conduct.
Attends annual training sessions.
Experience: Previous experience preferred, but not required.
Education: Ability to communicate and follow instructions.
