  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of an Electronics Technician Maintenance I.

  • Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents.

  • Familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits.

  • Uses independent judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools and testing instruments.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum of four years electronics maintenance experience.

  • Formal Technical training as an Electronics Technician (Military Specialist Training or Civilian Equivalent

  • Graduation from a two-year Electronics Technician program at an accredited technical institute, or have completed factory/formal training on training devices/equipment listed in the contract.

  • Education may be substituted at a rate of one year course of study for nine months of experience.

  • Demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as an Electronics Technician.

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible.

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

  • Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.

In the absence of theElectronics Technician Maintenance III, may resume supervisor responsibilities.

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons. Work is performed in both a maintenance facility/light manufacturing setting and outdoors. Employee often exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals and vibration. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.
