Heart of Texas Region MHMR Center HR Generalist/Trainer 1573 in Texas

The Human Resource Generalist/Trainer performs HR administrative and technical work. Work involves assisting in the administration of human resources management program and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. This position will work under moderate supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions

  • Excellent written communication and follow-up skills with applicants, employees, and other agencies
  • Effective verbal communication and telephone etiquette
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to manage applicant tracking system
  • Must display excellent organizational skills, time management, confidentiality and attention to detail
  • Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, keyboarding for prolonged periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to be certified as a CPR/First Aid, Van Trainer, Satori Alternative of Managing Aggression trainer
  • Ability to create, develop, and deliver employment presentations to new hires and members of management
  • Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required

Education and Experience

  • *Requires *an Associate or Bachelor's degree with 2 years related experience *or *(years of experience may substitute for education)
  • HR Training experience in relation to employment law

Hours: 8AM-5PM M-F

Salary: $14.9038 hourly/$31,000 annually
