McKesson Patient Relationship Solutions (MPRS) is a business unit of McKesson Specialty Health focused on supporting manufacturer adherence programs and providing customized solutions that promote better health. McKesson Specialty Health’s Reimbursement Access and Safety Services (RA&SS) solution center offers single gateway programs for reimbursement hotlines, patient assistance programs, distribution services, REMS services and other healthcare customer support services on behalf of manufacturers.

Current Need

McKesson’s well regarded Corporate Legal Department is seeking an attorney to provide contracting and legal support for McKesson Specialty Health’s MPRS, RA&SS and Biologics Hub Services. The position can be located in Scottsdale, AZ., Atlanta (NDH), GA., or The Woodlands, TX.

Position Description

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Contract drafting, revision, strategy and negotiation

  • Providing regulatory advice and counsel on a wide range of topics, including and various State pharmacy-related and state and Federal healthcare laws

  • Working closely with other lawyers and paralegals that provide cross-functional support services for MPRS, RA&SS and Biologics Hub Services.

  • Frequent interactions with senior segment business leaders, and other internal stakeholders across functional groups, such as distribution, operations and marketing.


Minimum Requirements

10 years of experience

Critical Skills

  • Excellent commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills

  • Experience with risk mitigation in a regulatory environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to provide sound, clear and succinct legal advice to senior and other business clients

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to competing business demands in a pragmatic, diplomatic and capable fashion

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with healthcare and pharmacy regulations is strongly preferred

  • Pharmaceutical manufacturer contracting experience is preferred


Juris Doctor degree with excellent academic credentials. Admission to practice law in a jurisdiction is required.
