Position Description The Senior Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for the technical delivery, financial planning, architecture, strategy, and operational support for McKesson Specialty Health (MSH) IT Infrastructure Operations.
To best handle these operations, the teams have been coordinated to support the needs specific to each area of operations. There are several key areas of focus for this role:
IT Infrastructure Strategy and Architecture
Cloud Computing Architecture and Transformation
Database Architecture and Management
The Sr. Director role is responsible for working with Business Partners across the different areas of MSH to ensure that the teams are driving to the same goals, direction and alignment, while providing exceptional support. The role is also responsible representing MSH for Audit initiatives, disaster recovery capabilities, SOX findings, leadership, design, architecture, and financial analysis.
This role requires depth and breadth of experience in all areas related to IT Infrastructure operations including systems engineering, database administration, cloud computing, virtualization technologies and network engineering.
This position will be based in The Woodlands, Texas.
Present recommendations to management and senior leadership
Provide an interface between business requirements and technical requirements
Provide technical leadership to Cloud Architecture, Data Administration, System Engineering and Network Engineering
Manage budget and financials for operations and technical teamsQualifications Minimum Requirements: 8+ years specific systems experience including 7+ years managerial experience
Technical fluency in all areas (Saas, Paas, and Iaas) needed to support application and cloud hosting in a large complex enterprise environment
Proficient in Microsoft AZURE and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies
Demonstrated experience in application and infrastructure cloud transformation.
Expertise in managing large Oracle and MS SQL Server database environments
Complex Data Network Design and Management with Cisco and HP technologies
Experience and expertise in project management methodologies and application
Experience in building and leading multiple collaborative teams in a large complex matrix organization
Basic understanding of accounting principles to manage budget and financials
Strong communication and presentation skills
Customer Service focus
Healthcare experience, preferred
Technology certifications preferred
PMP certification preferred but not required
Education: 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Travel Up to 25-30% travel
