McKesson Specialty Health (MSH) works with stakeholders across the healthcare continuum to support delivery of high value care, close to patients. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, McKesson Specialty Health, this role is responsible for leading a customer segment marketing function charged with development and implementation of strategies affecting profitable growth of the entire business through performance in the manufacturer solutions business. This includes market assessment, definition of customer segments and positioning of relevant and differentiated service offerings, and development and execution of a marketing strategy and plan that drives profitable growth for the business unit through customer acquisition, retention and optimization.
This individual will be a subject matter expert who serves as an organizational resource for all facets of customer, market, industry and the competitive environment as it relates to the manufacturer market, with a primary focus on specialty products. The role is responsible for gathering, analyzing and translating market data to drive development and positioning of our service offering and vision, as well as leading creation and execution of supporting programs designed to maximize McKesson’s market share. This individual integrates a broad understanding of the specialty market and its healthcare industry influences with an ability to define and execute diverse strategic marketing programs. The desired candidate will possess strategy, marketing and/or product management experience, combined with proven abilities to develop and lead programs that drive positive business outcomes.
The Senior Director will be a member of the business unit Marketing Leadership Team as well as the Manufacturer Solutions Leadership Team. Position Description

Works closely with the McKesson Specialty Health Manufacturer Solutions Leadership Team, the VP, Marketing, and the segment sales leaders to develop and drive adoption of strategic customer solutions.
Leads market analysis to identify and segment market opportunities; owns development and socialization of customer, market and competitive insights and translation of these into focused service offerings and value proposition across existing and emerging markets. Responsible for development and execution of comprehensive segment marketing plan that aligns to business fiscal year operating priorities and LRP, and tracking and reporting progress against these to key stakeholders.
Drives customer acquisition, retention and optimization through targeted marketing initiatives that are specific to a product, therapeutic area or other attribute identified through segmentation of addressable market. Leads development of tools that the sales force can utilize effectively in securing new business, and MSH positioning in executive materials Partners with marketing communications to develop and implement customer engagement strategies for existing and emerging markets through events and programs, direct marketing and communications. Partners with marketing communications to ensure MSH value proposition and market relevant thought leaders are appropriately positioned and promoted across PR activity, customer and industry events, and digital media Communicates vision, strategy and specific initiatives internally to executive and other stakeholder audiences, as well as externally to customers. May include representing MSH at key industry events and committees, and with market stakeholders and influencers Champions customer experience, working across functions to address critical customer gaps and opportunities. Oversees development of various customer support materials that ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing experience with MSH. Works across McKesson to drive success through product and sales collaboration with other internal businesses that have shared customer solutions or opportunities. Additional responsibilities include: Responsible for budget and organizational design recommendations, hiring and coaching & development of team Budget and forecast oversight for all segment marketing activities Travel to internal, industry and customer meetings as needed Cross functional leadership within marketing, across MSH and across McKesson as relevant to execute marketing strategies.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements15+ years of experience in product marketing. At this level, graduate degree may be expected. Critical Skills 10 years experience developing and executing customer strategy and products or programs that drive business success. Experience within healthcare required, experience with pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers and/or specialty drug market strongly preferred Experience with market competitive analysis Strong management, communication and analytical skills

Additional Knowledge & SkillsAdvanced knowledge of McKesson company products preferred Strong working clinical knowledge, particularly in Oncology preferred
