As an Infrastructure Systems and Cloud Architect within the MSH IT Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise infrastructure systems and services supporting the distributed cloud and hybrid computing environment, which encompasses over four data centers, several co-location environments and various cloud services across the country. A specific emphasis will be placed on cloud computing design and infrastructure and application transformation to public and private cloud environments such as Microsoft AZURE, AWS, and Google.
In addition, this role will provide technical leadership and solution design across the multiple IT infrastructure disciplines in collaboration with other solution architects and application subject matter experts. The Infrastructure Systems and Cloud Architect will provide guidance and coaching other infrastructure engineers and administrators and will serve on various architecture review and technical boards. Finally, this role will keep up with technical industry standards and trends and provide line of sight to new emerging technologies which may provide continues business value or change the landscape of IT.
Recommend and implement best practices in the storage infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Work with other support teams to architect and design enterprise infrastructure solutions
Serve as an technical lead and solution design expert for IT infrastructure related initiatives
Design and implement data protection and replication solutions
Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to other system engineers, administrators, and analysts
Lead technical meetings to ensure communications across the technical teams and customers, and communicate IT leadership.
Communicate industry technical trends and roadmap to IT leadership
Work with leaders across teams to develop new solutions and technology standards
4+ years specific systems experience including 2+ years managerial experience
4+ years’ experience in designing and supporting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud offerings
Actively deployed and managed systems working in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft AZURE Cloud Services and utilizing API and CLI tools
Working knowledge of multiple operating systems such as Windows, AIX, Solaris and Linux
4+ years’ experience in with Linux and Windows scripting (Perl, Bash, Python, Ant, Powershell, VB, Java)
4+ years in SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL Database administration, programming, and design
Experience with database clustering, data warehousing and data management in large complex environments
Web Servers: Microsoft IIS, Apache, Nginx, Iplanet, SunOne
Middleware: Oracle Portal , OID, ORASSO and J2EE Engines: Tomcat, JBoss, Oracle Weblogics
Load balancing: F5 Big IP, Citrix Netscaler, HA Proxy
Proficient in Directory Services: Active Directory, LDAP, AZURE AD, AD DNS, Bind DNS
Secure file transmission (SFTP, FTPS, AS2) and automation
Experience with SAN & NAS technologies including CIFS, iSCSI, and NFS
Experience with Cisco and HP Switching and Routing, plus associated firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Palo Alto and/or Sonic Wall)
Strong documentation and presentation/communication skills
Experience with C#.Net, Asp.net, PHP/Java programming
SSO WS, Kerberos and Active Directory , SAML, LDAP and LDAPS interfaces
SSL/TLS Certificate Management, Certificate / PKI management
Development and Collaboration: Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Fisheye, Crowd, Subversion, CVS
Content Management frameworks: Alfresco / Drupal / Liferay / SOLR
Systems certification and Unix\Microsoft certification a plus
Project management experience or PMP certification a plus
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) – Normal office environment
