CSAT Solutions is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a MLB Repair Technician 1. This position will require the candidate to have some knowledge of computer components and be willing to work overtime.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Completes component level trouble shooting (capacitor, resistors, etc. ) and failure analysis (FA)

  • Tests, troubleshoots and repairs complex system failures, as required

  • Identifies through testing any opportunities for improvement (ex. test and or process gaps)

  • Conducts visual mechanical inspection (VMI) of units, components (LCD, Motherboards, etc.) and/or sub-components

  • Performs computer data entry using Microsoft excel and/or internal databases including production systems

  • Follows procedures and diagrams in performing engineering change orders, as required

  • Visual mechanical inspection (VMI) of components and sub-components

  • Interfaces with production, quality, receiving, inventory and engineering teams daily

  • Prioritizes repair workload according to schedule demands

  • All other duties assigned by supervisor

    Skills, Education and Training

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in Electronics, Computer repair or other technical field preferred

  • Minimum 2 years experience in electronics repair, failure analysis, and diagnosis

  • Proficiency working with a computer and various databases

  • Proficiency in through hole soldering

  • Familiar with surface mount technology

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics/block diagrams with detailed understanding of computer and sub-assembly functionality

  • Familiarity with MS Office (advanced Excel & PowerPoint) Presentation skills a must

  • Familiar with computer software and operating systems and possess the ability to identify and perform software updates (OS,BIOS, Drivers, Firmware)

  • Ability to use electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes & multi-meters, etc.)

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure quality requirements are met

  • Proficient in the English language (oral and written)

  • Ability to follow documented procedures and processes
