Our DART Representatives respond to Internet customer inquiries and inbound calls to ensure that the dealership actualizes its maximum profit potential on internet sales.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate effectively with Internet customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication, whether by phone, by e-mail, or in person.

  • Have a thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services.

  • Satisfy the transportation needs of Internet-generated customers.

  • Direct customers to product information resources, including those available on the Internet.

  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle.

  • Understand the psychology of Internet customers and works with them accordingly to draw them into the store for proper vehicle demonstration and to close the transaction.

  • Check e-mail frequently and respond to inquiries immediately. Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly. Notifies customers that their messages have been forwarded to the appropriate personnel for prompt attention.

  • Handle all Internet sales inquiries personally.

  • Be knowledgeable about current factory or dealership promotions and advertising.

  • Research auto-buying services on the Internet and acts as liaison with any services the dealership uses to promote its site or advertise.

  • Maintain an ongoing customer database to capture repeat business.

  • Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales.

  • Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.

  • Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.

  • Obtain product certification through Honda IN. Develop career skills through regular training and instruction.

  • Attend product and sales training as requested by sales manager.

  • Attend sales meetings.

  • Maintain professional appearance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

In addition, you will be held to the following standards of performance daily, and be required to check out with a sales manager at the end of each shift you work. You can earn a “yellow” or “green” checkout by meeting 5 of the 6 minimum criteria in each category below:

You are expected to achieve a “Green Checkout”, at minimum, 80% of the days you work per month.

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

  • Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record

  • Professional personal appearance.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.

  • Previous dealership experience a huge plus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Work is performed at a desk in an office setting .
