Job Summary

Develop an academic advising system which promotes student success and new advising initiatives. Act as a liaison to student, advisors, faculty and administrators. Responsible for facilitating the exchange of academic and technical information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, develop and administer academic advising programs and systems that affect all entering freshman students from various academic disciplines for their first year on campus, as well as support initiatives in academic advising. Advise students individually and in groups. Speak to various constituency groups (students, advisors, parents, faculty, administrators, etc.) regarding the advising process, orientation and other activities, systems or programs associated with the University Advising Center. Develop and coordinate various seminars, orientations, and workshops for student and advisor development. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four (4) years in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related field. Six (6) years experience in a related field.
