Description

  • Work alongside the Director of Benefits in the administration of health care and welfare plans, which includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending Accounts, EAP, Life Insurance, AD&D, Short, and Long Term Disability Plans, FMLA, COBRA, and 401(k).

    • Assist with the creation and distribution of employee benefits communications, including open enrollment materials, intranet postings, and letters to carriers/participants, etc., ensuring that all benefits are effectively communicated to employees.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and management of all vendor data file feeds including weekly funding and reconciliation of employee deferrals, overseeing participant enrollments, account balances, and claim issues. Oversee and track program budgets to ensure administrative invoices are correctly allocated and processed timely.

  • Stays current on compliance regulations of state and federal programs such as ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, LOA's, Medicare, ACA and CMS

  • Process Medical Support Orders, Qualified Domestic Relationship Orders, Medicare Form/Notices and other verification of benefit plan requests

  • Maintain all legal benefit files and documents in filing system of record.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related degree and 3+ years of benefits administration or human resource work experience OR an associate degree in human resources or closely related field with 3+ years of related work experience OR an appropriate combination of education and experience

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, or comparable publications. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employee groups and managers.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve new or existing problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Other Required Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, BenefitFocus Marketplace, and Ultipro systems. Possess strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to maintain confidential information and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to travel overnight, 3-4 times per year for acquisitions and open enrollment meetings.
