Robert Half Technology is actively seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager across the Austin area to oversee a wide variety of client facing projects from conceptual design through implementation. This is a client facing role where you will be expected to network with clients, vendors, and client's in-house personnel. This role requires 5% of travel.

Requirements

● Identify issues and create recommended solutions ● Implement recommended solutions for clients to ensure they receive the benefit ● Conduct research and data collection to understand the client organization ● Interview client’s employees, management team and other stakeholders ● Facilitate various workshops to assist the client in obtaining better results ● Manage one or more client projects with oversight throughout entire engagement lifecycle to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of contracted scope, budget, and timeline ● Develop comprehensive project plans and coordinate technical personnel (software developers, architects, quality assurance leads, DevOps, platform engineers, etc) during all project phases ● Manages projects through the use of proven Software Development Life Cycle processes, procedures and tools to include planning, coordinating all project activities, project status meetings, system specifications design and review, technical review, system testing, system implementation, post implementation review ● Manages activities of supporting project teams and development partners ● Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements ● Analyze economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return-on-investment standards ● Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes ● Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news ● Manages and appropriately escalates: delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the initiatives ● Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation, communication plans, process training, etc ● Provides technical expertise and leadership abilities to complete software programs in a timely manner

Required: ● Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience ● Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities ● Excellent problem-solving skills ● Strong attention to detail and can multi-task effectively ● Minimum three years management experience in the IT field, including development work and interactions with customers

Preferred: ● Outsourcing experience ● LEAN/Agile software development experience ● Consulting experience
