TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION BET Vending Specialist (Austin) in AUSTIN, Texas

Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking to fill a Program Specialist I (Business Enterprise of Texas (BET) Vending Specialist) position to join the BET Vending Division team. This position is located at 4800 N. Employees pay the remainder of the premium by paycheck deduction before taxes are withheld.- Optional Benefits such as dental, vision, and life insurance- 8 hours sick leave per month- 8 hours vacation leave per month with potential to earn more with longevity- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services- Additional benefits for active employees: Program Specialist I (BET Vending Specialist) performs routine (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. iWork involves assisting with planning, developing, and implementing an agency program and providing consultative services and technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, or the general public. iMay train others. iWorks under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.GENERAL DUTIES:-Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy.-Develops vending service requirements by establishing service benchmarks for each service site.i-Provides technical input into the development of all service arrangements and contracts.i-Analyzes all reported sales and compares to reported submissions.i-Creates and generates management reports displaying all vending service achievements and account balances.-Monitors statewide vending services by serving as the subject matter expert in all service-related matters.i-Evaluates and monitors all reported vending service achievements with minimal review.i-Receives, documents, and assists with the resolution for all reported customer concerns.i-Provides technical guidance for establishing the appropriate vending machine mix required to support each service site.i- Formulates plan of action to resolve and prevent future non-compliance issues.i-Provides coordination and technical guidance between auditors and service providers for the examination of and findings for each audit.i-Reviews, evaluates, and recommends appropriate course of action for each audit exception identified.i-Analyzes and uses audit information for future development of service arrangements.-Prepares comprehensive review of BET service agreements for vending services and assists in developing the procedures for the BET service agreements.i-Prepares justification for implementation of procedural change.i-Independently conducts site visits and initiates surveys to determine service provider compliance with agency requirements and federal permits.i-Develops and utilizes complex administrative reports, studies and specialized projects.-Performs other duties as assigned.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:-Considerable knowledge of vending industry and vending service local, state and federal laws.i-Considerable knowledge of report and record maintenance principles and practices.i-Considerable knowledge of analyzing vending reports depicting revenue streams, machine counts and commissions paid.i-Considerable knowledge of the Business Enterprises program.i-Moderate knowledge of the Randolph-Sheppard Acti-Skill in use of a personal computer utilizing Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite of software programs.i-Skill in effective written and oral communications.i-Skill in statistical analysis process.i-Skill in devisin
