VCA Anderson Mill Animal Hospital is a well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal practice in North Austin, Texas.

VCA Anderson Mill Animal Hospital is seeking a client services specialist to join our fast-paced, four-doctor, AAHA-accredited small animal practice. Please note that this is a part-time position, and working some weekend hours will be required.

Our team is made up of experienced professionals focused on providing progressive, high-quality medicine. We are looking for a Client Care Specialist committed to providing excellent customer service, with confidence and compassion. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to multi-task and place a high priority on teamwork.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greeting clients, assisting clients in person and over the phone, differentiating routine cases from emergency cases, scheduling and confirming appointments, inputting accurate and detailed data, managing the retrieval and storage of medical records, generating invoices, processing payments, consistently providing a superb client experience to both internal and external clients, working with emotional clients with compassion and understanding. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

  • High emotional intelligence

  • The ability to interact intelligibly, pleasantly, and efficiently with clients, often doing several things at one time.

  • Displaying tact and diplomacy with staff members and clients even when busy or hectic.

  • Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures and terminology

  • Excellent computer/database skill set

  • Ability to work as a member of a dynamic team

  • Previous veterinary experience preferred, but not required
