Whole Foods Market Customer Strategist in Austin, Texas

Job DescriptionWhole Foods Market has launched Prime at Whole Foods Market – an innovative loyalty program that allows us to identify, understand and connect with Prime members who shop at Whole Foods Market. The Customer Strategist will obsess over the Whole Foods Market customer, constantly striving to develop and build their relationship with shoppers. The Customer Strategist will put the needs of the customer first while being mindful of the needs of the business, aiming to create win/win opportunities for all.The Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) team is seeking a passionate and experienced Customer Strategist to support the initiatives designed to engage and retain Whole Foods Market customers. This important role will assist in developing, executing and continually improving the Whole Foods Market customer experience through promotional offers, relevant content and omni-channel communications. The dynamic nature of this role requires a self-starter that is comfortable jumping into ambiguity and a resourceful approach as demands of the team and the job evolve.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

CRM Strategy

  • Assist in developing, testing, and refining strategies for acquiring, activating and nurturing Whole Foods Market shoppers at all stages of the customer life cycle

  • Contribute to audience selection and segmentation criteria for targeted campaigns

  • Maintain the customer contact strategy calendar and communicate updates to key business stakeholders including the CRM team, Customer Care, stores and regions, Legal, etc.

  • Demonstrate big picture understanding of how Amazon Prime ties into the Whole Foods Market ecosystem and how the partnership helps us achieve our company goals

CRM Campaign Management

  • Oversee multi-channel execution of offers for Prime at Whole Foods Market customers

  • Liaise with Amazon counterparts to manage the logistics of technology needs including offer setup and feature requests

  • Collaborate with Project Management and Creative teams to develop content needed to support CRM campaigns

  • Continuously monitor campaigns to measure performance and report on programs across a variety of metrics and KPIs to inform future strategic campaign execution

  • Responsible for inputting and tracking requests from the Customer Analytics team

  • Support, develop and/or execute other processes and programs as needed

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 or more years of related experience preferably in retail or merchandising

  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the proven ability to manage complex and multi-faceted projects

  • Strong editing and proofreading abilities

  • Strong communication skills including written correspondence, reports, procedural documentation, briefs and campaign recaps

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one interactions and meeting/group situations

  • Ability to flex when priorities change and respond with creative solutions to unexpected challenges

  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure and tight deadlines

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Capability to understand the Whole Foods Market culture of collaboration and decentralization and to build effective working relationships with store and regional stakeholders

  • Fluent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gantt charts and MS Project or similar software at an intermediate level; Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite preferred
