Job Role and Responsibilities

This position will report to the Sr. Director of Cloud Sales Acceleration and transformation for WW Cloud strategies and be an individual contributor with high impact and strong ability to drive transformation across our multi-cloud solutions. The role will span across all APJ customer segments and will work in partnership with regional sales, business units, and other functional organizations.

This Director level role is strategic within VMware – one which will develop over time, based on the current/future needs of the evolving multi-cloud business model. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of business insight, sales operations experience, VMware Solutions knowledge, big-picture thinking, influencing skills and ability to collaborate with many constituents within VMware.

  • Collaborate with BUs and functional stakeholders to develop and drive alignment to our GTM strategy across multiple cloud businesses

  • Drive transformational strategy development and execution critical for sales success

  • Increase breadth and depth of customers across VMware’s entire multi-cloud solutions portfolio

  • Develop programmatic sales play and execute pursuit strategies at scale in partnership with each of the GEO GM’s, marketing, and cloud sales leads in both Enterprise & Global segments

  • Manage a communications/feedback process between Cloud sales business units and supporting functions to enhance customer and employee experience

  • Assess and optimize sales tools, processes, and programs to accelerate pipeline velocity and closure rates

  • Drive best practice adoption and maximize resource utilization to optimize productivity across team

Required Skills

  • 12+ years experience in SaaS operations & GTM transformation roles, including strategy, operations, and programs.

  • Significant understanding of software business models (e.g. license, subscription, SaaS) and go-to-market strategies

  • Experience leading multiple priorities successfully across highly matrixed organizations

  • Track record of consistently delivering excellent results in trying and changing environments

  • Ability to work effectively across teams and groups to bring together diverse views in order to establish and accomplish goals and initiatives

  • Ability to identify patterns, process information quickly, and make decisions in a timely manner – analytical mindset

  • Experience driving pricing, packaging, tool optimizations across various SaaS platforms structures

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Leadership ability with broad multidisciplinary operations, strategy or direct sales background

  • An extraordinarily self-motived and directed professional that has an eye for business

  • Deep understanding of complementary vendor portfolio such as networking, security, IAAS, and hosted applications.
