We are looking for a Director of Conversion Optimization & Strategy to turn user insights into growth through conversion rate optimization. To us, conversion optimization is a data-driven process made powerful by a good dose of creativity. You’ll be expected to go from start to finish with a testing process and plan as well as help build processes and infrastructure to accommodate the company’s growth.
You'll analyze website traffic for trends, use patterns to identify and quantify customer behavior and make intelligent modifications to improve user experience, and maximize conversion rates.
The role combines client management, scaling a CRO team, helping to drive product innovations, and being a proven thought leader within our organization and industry.
Processes & framework development.
Client Conversion deliverable definement and development (Landing Page Analysis, Client Scoping Document, Prioritization Plans, and Personas).
Distribute test results internally and maintain a case study repository for use by marketing and sales (everyone’s assumptions challenged, organization mindset).
Promote Postclick Professional Services and Postclick conversion optimization as an industry thought leader.
Develop a team of CRO Managers and analysts that meet “industry thought leadership” standards.
Demonstrate an ability to provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities for current and future team members.
Lead optimization related education of employees throughout the Professional Service organization.
Partner with Product to prioritize the Professional Service team’s data, optimization, and other strategic needs.
Partner with Product to turn technical capabilities into strategic, market-dominating advantages including the development and resell of personas rooted in cognitive biases and decision-making behavior.
Develop a process for tagging persuasion methods used in Postclick landing pages to feed into Postclick’s personalization algorithm.
Develop and maintain optimization processes that utilize the Postclick platform’s A/B testing, MVT, machine learning, and other advanced technologies to produce the highest conversion rates for Postclick clients.
Champion qualitative research methods that inform successful client optimization strategies.
Translate both qualitative and quantitative test results into actionable business insights for clients.
Familiarity and experience with system architecture.
5+ Managerial experience proven to inspire, empower, and develop teammates.
A solid understanding of fully integrated digital marketing programs.
Ability to use data to drive fundamental marketing decisions and strategies.
Experience using analytics to discover visitor behavior and conversion bottlenecks.
Customer data mining experience
Experience building visual data dashboards
5+ years of experience in a role turning data into insights which become tests (or action) through analysis, creativity, and communication with the following experiences:
A/B multivariate testing processes and understanding of related basic statistical analysis.
Use of site analytics and optimization software packages (e.g. Google Analytics, Optimizely, Heap Analytics).
Analysis of quantitative data (web metrics, revenue reporting, etc.) and qualitative data (surveys, screen recordings, etc.) to develop insights about the user.
Developed business acumen to size different opportunities, articulate risks and trade-offs, and prioritize.
Polished communications across an organization – across to development, up to exec, etc.
Experience with UX design a plus.
