Responsibilities

  • Expert in knowing Federal Civilian customers, market, andcompetition

  • Own product definition fromvision, roadmap to detailed product requirements

  • Drive product strategy anddirection that that translates into high value customer features

  • Lead and influence productteams to invest and iterate on the right product features

  • Run effective beta programsand collect continuous customer feedback

  • Make business decisions todrive product adoption

  • Create field enablementmaterials (blogs, presentations) for the broader OCI population, to help othersunderstand how to integrate OCI s solitons into customer architectures

  • Partner with sales andmarketing to deliver high quality product collateral, and influence pricing,packaging and positioning

  • Launch newservices/features by working closely with marketing, and sales organizations tomaximize product adoption

  • Present to Federal Civiliancustomers and partners

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experienceworking with, and selling to. US Federal and Civilian customers

  • Demonstrated experience indefinition, and launching multiple products ( V1.0 product a plus)

  • Proven ability to influencecross-functional teams

  • Proven track record oftaking ownership and driving results

  • Flexibility and comfortwith ambiguous product decisions

  • Excellent written andverbal communication

  • Build value propositions,messaging, and guidance for the field, partners, press, and analysts

  • Oracle, virtualization,networking, and storage experience a plus

  • Communicate complex ideasand topics to multiple audiences.

  • Be able to work with andcommunicate internally & with the customer at all levels, includingengineers, end-users, partners to senior leaders

  • Bachelors Degree required.Masters or MBA preferred with a strong relevant experience in the field

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
