Your Role and Responsibilities
Program Management for our public cloud. Our public cloud continues to expand into new industries while updating our cloud in existing regions. We need a leader who can take for a series of programs which will result from this expansion spanning from internal development matrixed leadership, to direct support of customer engagements associated with these new deployments.
Overall management of bank client audits
Intake audit request
Review contract language and understand requirements and boundaries
Develop and manage project plan and timeline to meet bank audit dates
Plan resource requirements and work with management to get appropriate resources assigned
Establish and communicate process for responding to audit requests
Set up tools/repositories for IBM teams to use during audit (i.e. GitHub, Slack, etc)
Track daily status of data requests and responses and drive teams to ensure we meet deadlines
Provide reporting to IBM and Client execs on progress and findings
Work with services, architects, SMEs when there are issues identified and define plan for resolving
Close out audit with client, communicate results and track/resolve any findings
Understand and track remaining open controls (currently 26) to closure 1Q
Build relationship with Client contacts, establish regular (weekly) meetings with them
Document artifacts required to close each open control (done jointly with architects and SMEs)
Drive and track completion of the artifacts - constant communication to SMEs of target dates
Send artifacts to architect for review and final approval.
Post artifacts to Client Interlink site and notify client it's ready for review
Maintain and post regular updates to Master Artifact Tracker to Interlink
Prep meetings with SMEs/architects prior to Evidence Reviews with Client
Host Client Evidence Review Meetings (document minutes, follow ups, drive follow ups to closure)
Request approval of control (in writing) and then document closure in Master Tracking Spreadsheet
Weekly Client and IBM PMO call on Tuesdays - provide updated status chart and present
Weekly Client and IBM Executive call on Wednesdays - provide updated status charts and present on call
Assist SMEs in ensuring documents are "client ready" - internal info removed, headings clear, etc. Sometimes help pull excerpts from existing ITSS, Service Framework, etc.
Schedule internal technical discussions as needed to resolve issues, clarify ownership between teams and figure out what to present to client
Excellent Client Facing skills (proven experience working directly with external clients)
Ability to communicate clearly to Execs, architects, SMEs, etc- most experienced PMs should have this :)
Solid PM skills (managing complex projects)
Some Security and Compliance skills needed to understand context of 400+ controls required by banks
If they have managed audits and have more in-depth compliance skills that would be really beneficial!
High level Cloud technical knowledge is needed to understand context. If they have more in depth cloud knowledge it would be really helpful
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3+ years' experience with FedRAMP & NIST 800 series standards (specifically 800-53)
Experience working in a change-controlled environment
Experience in risk assessment processes, policy development, proposals, work statements, product evaluations and delivery of technology
Ability to understand enterprise business computing operations/requirements - particularly Cloud
Ability to stand firm on issues yet be flexible and creative when working with customers to find effective solutions
Ability to understand and interpret laws and regulatory requirements related to information protection, and develop and implement appropriate processes to achieve and maintain compliance and reduce risk
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Working in a NIST 800-53 series environment with revisions 4 or 5
Experience working with security standards related to ISO, SOC, HIPAA, PCI P-ATO, FFIEC, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2 and/or PCI
Experience administering internet facing systems
Diagnosing the root cause of problems and propose solutions for issues such as failed patches, tooling, system test false positives and/or authentication
Expertise in system configuration - especially privilege control (for example sudoer configuration) and system level firewall (iptables, etc.)
Possess an understanding of basic networking concepts: ipsec tunnels, firewalls, routers, public and private addressing
Experience with operations of data centers or Cloud , and networking security (including security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, OS patching, health checking, etc.)
Experience with container based architectures and implementations such as kubernetes, docker, etc.
