The responsibility of the Finisher (DMLS) position is to produce end quality prototype models ensuring they meet company standards using a variety of hands tools. The Sr. Finisher may also assist and train other finishers, and handle more complex parts.
Review Work Instructions for product information and special needs.
Understanding of build ID and work order.
Detail metal parts and prototype models through removing support structures, sanding, blasting, and/or polishing and detailing surfaces.
Review part geometry using SolidView.
Perform preliminary inspection of parts to ensure they meet part requirements.
Complete all paperwork and computer work properly for each job.
Complies to all Quality Systems Management.
Maintain the Finishing Area by keeping area clean, stocking supplies, etc.
High School Diploma, or equivalent(GED)
Basic Math Skills
Basic computer experience
6+ months of measurement experience using hand tools
6+ months of experience working with shop equipment including bandsaws, die grinders, angle grinders, drill press, etc.
1+ year of experience working in manufacturing end use parts
Experience with prevision measurement equipment a plus
Exposure to reading blue prints
