ProSphere Tek Informatica Application Administrator in Austin, Texas


ProSphere is currently seeking an Application Administrator with Informatica experience. The Application Administrator will have experience in managing the daily routine operations and maintenance of information technology software and system applications. The candidate must be able to communicate with end-users to understand issues related to end-user applications and functionality requirements. The Informatica Application Administrator will work with internal and external sources, end-users, developers and other application administrators to ensure the functional use of systems matches customer needs. The successful candidate will also be required to enter data, process information and communicate with peers, subordinates and departmental management to ensure the function applicability and operation of customer systems and software. The candidate will interact with all facets of the information technology stack within the customer organization. The candidate must have proven experience in gathering data and information and then converting it into written narratives, reports and abstracts, as may be required to support management requests.   • Participate in technical research and development to enable continuous innovation within the infrastructure

  • Resolve a wide range of hardware and network technology issues in a fast-paced environment

  • First escalation resource for Tier-3 troubleshooting for all assigned service desk tickets from creation to resolution

  • Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational SLAs

  • Troubleshooting ranges from basic issues to email related issues for Executive level users

  • Provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and network infrastructure

  • Maintain standard image for Windows platforms

  • Other tasks and projects as assigned


  • Associate's degree in Business, Information Systems/Technology, or other analytical or technical discipline preferred (4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education)

  • A minimum of 5 years progressive experience as an application administrator (above the 4 years of relevant experience if used for the above education qualification)

  • Hands on Experience with the Informatica PowerCenter v10x Software

  • Knowledge and/or Experience with administration of Informatica Enterprise Data Quality

  • Experience with administration of Informatica DQ and PC modules

  • Experience with administration of MDM tool

  • A good understanding of software design lifecycle process

  • Previous end-user level application support and troubleshooting

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills are required

  • Capable to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Experience providing services to the federal government and/or the Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) is preferred

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance for persons in a position of public trust conducted by the VA/OPM

  • Travel may be required

  • Ability to work overtime required on occasion

  • Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time
